It's a good idea. I am a wanderer and I alwyas bring my DSLR when hiking. I alwyas had a way I can put out quickly on the camera from my backpack and vice versa. I thought that maybe this product would be one to meet I wish. When my home after I got it, it looked good. I can put all the items needed for day hiking with my DSLR and some lenses. The real warning came when I actually raised. I could not close the zip and open it when I was wearing my backpack. Sometimes opening was OK, but when I put my camera back and try close the zipper would not work. So I had to take off my backpack, however, and then I had to use both my hands to close. Sometimes it is the other way. I was away from the backpack and get it up then camera, but it was closed OK. And sometimes I have a problem in open and closed.But I could not open and close a successful with one hand when I was wearing a backpack. So for me it is exactly the same as before. I have put my backpack anyway. And I wondered why I bought it here ? Thankfully, I bought this from Amazon, and I have it back. I really wanted to work for me. Unfortunately it is not. And I look forward to one better by actually working and hiking. I looked at the zipper to see if there is something wrong with the zipper. And I compared it with other products' zipper is very smooth. I found that the critical error in the LowePro bit low quality zippers. Other products' zippers had a lot more, very strong and solid, and very smooth. The zippers are not the Lowepro. They are too small. It is not ready. And he looked so weak that you never know when the zipper Would be broken. And hopefully one that also accommodates a tripod (one that does not apply to Stand.
